Attend our OPEN-CALL DANCE AUDITION for our 2025 Calaway Live stage shows.
General information about the position.
- DANCERS approximate age 16-22 (minimum age to apply is 16) to perform in our high-energy dance stage shows.
- Trained dancers with a solid formal dance training (no specific amount of years, but any combination of jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, etc). Dancers with natural or freestyle hip hop skills and musical theatre experience are also welcome.
- Good work ethic and attitude, responsible, flexible and reliable as a team player is a must.
TIME COMMITMENT
- Rehearsals: Sunday nights 5:00-9:30 pm for the duration of March through June 2025. (Minor conflicts from dance competition dates, spring vacation, and other single date conflicts can be discussed).
- Shows: Shows open at the end of June and run 5 afternoons per week in the summer throughout July and August through Labor Day weekend, and then continue on September/October weekends-only until October 14.
- This contract is part-time hours (5 days per week in the summer with an afternoon commitment of approx. 5 hours each day with 2 regular days off per week).
- PLEASE NOTE: Vacation time during July and August cannot be accommodated in this contract. Free transportation to and from Calaway Park is available once the performances begin.
AUDITION INFORMATION
WHEN: Sunday February 2, 2025
WHERE: Evergreen Community Spaces (1709 – 8 Avenue NE)
TIME: All participants arrive at 9:30 am.
HOW TO APPLY:

- Once your application is received, you will receive confirmation and further information via email to attend the Audition on Sunday February 2!
Please note: No performance preparation is necessary for the audition. The audition is run as a workshop… Plan to be there all day (bring a water bottle and a light lunch). Cuts will be made throughout the day. The latest the audition will run is approximately 5:00 p.m. Dress in comfortable dance-rehearsal clothing ready to learn choreography (no jeans please).

Attend our OPEN-CALL ACTING AUDITION for the 2025 Street Character cast.
This position includes performing as a range of characters for meet & greets at locations around the park which include fairies, MAXX the robot and his inventor, and more.
General information about this position:
- We cast individuals aged approx. 16-22 (minimum age to apply is age 16) with excellent personality, acting & theatre experience, who are comfortable dressing in costume to greet guests, and perform as a range of characters for photo ops with guests, such as princesses/princes, fairies, robots, and other costumed characters.
- Good work ethic and attitude, responsible and reliable as a team player, and great rapport with kids is a must. Experience with drama productions or improv is an asset.
- Available for rehearsal dates and training in early May (schedule TBA).
- Available to work in the Calaway Park season. NOTE: Vacation time during July and August is difficult to accommodate in this contract.
- Free transportation to and from Calaway Park is available once the performances begin.

The audition will end at approximately 2:00 p.m. (bring a water bottle and a light lunch). Dress in comfortable dance-rehearsal clothing ready for physical movement (no jeans please).

Apply to be a part of our small specialized team of 3D Theatre Hosts! We are looking for individuals that are able to bring our Cinemagic 3D characters to life through dressing up, engaging with our guests and inviting them to enjoy our 3D experience.
How to Apply
Applications for the 2025 season will be accepted starting January 1, 2025.
Submit an online application HERE and put “THEATRE HOST” in the position you are applying for. Select applicants will be contracted by a Calaway Park representative to set up an interview.
Requirements
- Must at least 16 years of age by May.
- Must be theatre-minded or have theatre experience.
- Able to engage and interact with guests of all ages with enthusiasm.
- Good work ethic, positive attitude, responsible, reliable, and a team player
Seasonal Commitment
The hours for this position are 1-2 days on weekends in May, June, September, and October through to Thanksgiving and 4-5 days per week in July and August. Wage starts at $15.65/hr.
Please note: Vacation in July & August is difficult to accommodate.

Calaway Park contracts a variety of professional stage acts (magic, music, dance, puppetry, comedy, etc) and roaming performers (clowns, jugglers, stilt-walkers, ventriloquists, characters, etc). We offer fair rates, an opportunity for multiple-date bookings, and a fun, safe and clean work environment.
Please note: Calaway Park contracts family-friendly entertainment appropriate for all ages (Target market is young families with kids aged 3 to 12).
